At the completion of this course, the learner should be able to:

* Describe the veterinary revenue cycle and the legal and ethical frameworks governing collections.
* Develop and implement a proactive practice financial policy that promotes transparency.
* Apply empathetic communication, negotiation, and de-escalation tactics to client financial conversations.
* Design and execute a structured internal workflow for managing overdue accounts.
* Establish objective criteria for escalating accounts to external agencies or for legal action.
* Outline the procedures for partnering with a collections agency and navigating small claims court.
* Analyze Accounts Receivable (A/R) reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure financial health.
